Fuel prices raised anew

- Victor V. Saulon

OIL companies are raising the prices of petroleum products this week but at a rate lower than in the previous week. In their advisories, which came in as early as Sunday, retailers raised the price of gasoline by P0.70 per liter. Diesel prices were raised by P0.70 per liter, and kerosene, by P0.35 per liter. The price increase is scheduled at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19. Last week, prices of gasoline, diesel and kerosene rose by P0.90, P0.55 and P0.85 per liter, respectively, after a brief respite during the first week of the month. Oil prices have been rising since the start of the year, reversing the steady decline towards the end of last year. —
