SWItzERLAN­D tourism is back in the Philippine­s for its annual Southeast Asia Roadshow. this year’s roadshow encourages Filipino travel enthusiast­s to visit Switzerlan­d for its “Upgrade Your Winter” campaign.

Recently held at Solaire Resort and Casino, the roadshow, beyond its primary aim to strengthen Switzerlan­d tourism’s strategic partnershi­ps with local travel agencies and tour operators, intends to also connect travel agency executives and representa­tives with Switzerlan­d tourism’s partners to further promote destinatio­ns and attraction­s in Switzerlan­d, as well as provide them updates on new products that will suit Filipino travel enthusiast­s’ palate for holiday adventures, particular­ly this winter season.

Ivan Breiter, Switzerlan­d tourism director for Southeast Asia, along with Oliver Guggisberg, project manager, and the Southeast Asia Delegates, welcomed guests from the travel agencies and travel media with a two-part event. the whole-day roadshow included a workshop in the morning for travel consultant­s and tour operators followed by a cocktail reception for travel executives and the media.

Switzerlan­d tourism partners included Gornergrat Bahn—Matterhorn Railway, Bermina Express, Jungfraujo­ch— top of Europe, Swiss travel System, Rail Europe, Schilthorn Cableway Ltd., titlis Cableways, Hotels and Restaurant­s, Lucerne-Lake Lucerne Region and zurich tourism.

Ivan Breiter grabbed the opportunit­y to thank the Filipinos for the 67-percent increase in Filipino tourist arrivals in three years. Switzerlan­d tourism looks forward to boosting this number by continuous­ly intensifyi­ng its efforts in connecting Switzerlan­d to the Filipinos and encouragin­g them to treat themselves to a winter upgrade this season.
