ENTERPRISE software provider Infor announced that its cloud-based commerce platform has been named a leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Multienterprise supply chain business networks this year.

Infor’s GT Nexus Commerce Network was cited for its ability to execute on a global scale and completeness of vision.

Today’s business environment is so complicated and hyper-pressured, it calls for the deployment of customer-focused supply chains capable of delivering value and innovation from origin to the customer. To increase velocity and ensure on-time customer delivery, it needs a digital foundation that aligns and orchestrates the whole community of trading partners and streamlines multi-enterprise business processes.

Infor’s GT Nexus was established to enable complex, multiparty processes and orchestrate global supply chains.

As enterprises undergo digital transformation to cope up with the speed of commerce, they need to be connected to their ecosystems. With Infor GT Nexus, it’s easier to do so since it provides a hyperlinked network that gives visibility, collaboration and automated execution of global supply chain processes that allow companies to digitally shift their supply chain end-to-end.

Enterpises then gain vast insights and make smarter decisions based on live visibility and networkwide intelligence.

“Collecting data and sensing signals in real time, and then coordinating, executing and resolving issues quickly, will allow companies to operate their supply chains more effectively,” Gartner Inc. said in the Magic Quadrant report.

According to the world’s leading research and advisory firm, “only a few companies have had success with multi-enterprise process management because organizations must be willing to work in partnership — sharing information, redefining processes and implementing mutually beneficial governance.”

Infor EVP and General Manager for Manufacturing and Supply Chain Rod Johnson believes such recognition shows their unique ability to connect firms to their supply chain allies and orchestrate multienterprise processes.

“Traditional supply chain solutions have been hindered by an enterprise-centric approach that fails to engage and align with trading partners,” he said.

“GT Nexus’ approach, from day one, has been to untap value and insights historically locked up in the supply chain network, and place the end-customer at the center of an ecosystem that flows as one to deliver customer value,” he added.

Infor builds business cloud software for enterprise and small and medium businessses worldwide. Manned by 17,000 employees, it serves more than 68,000 customers in over 170 countries worldwide.

The Infor GT Nexus helps 25,000-plus companies move $500 billion in goods across the world’s largest supply chains. With over 100,000 people using this platform, the network is an engaged community of manufacturers, retailers, logistics providers, carriers, suppliers and banks

In the Philippines, the multinational has over 300 customers in various industries, such as food and beverage, fashion, logistics, and manufacturing and distribution, among others.
