-

AS part of its continuing business-literacy program for its constituency, Barangay San Lorenzo in Makati City recently held a weeklong business forum with the theme “Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset”.

The four-day event is in partnership with the Barangay San Lorenzo Business Association (BSLBA); and the local chamber of commerce, which covers establishments in Legazpi Village, Ayala Center and Arnaiz Ave.

The group, which has a membership of over 1,000 firms, is mandated to organize effective education and training programs for the improvement of business skills and encourage corporate social responsibility. It is the private sector’s official channel of various business concerns, through its representation in the Makati Liga ng mga Barangay Business Council (MLBBC).

According to barangay chairman Ernesto Moya, the activity is part of their continuing education program to promote the spirit of enterprise within the business and residential community.

The event opened with a trade fair at the Glorietta Activity Center, featuring programs and products of the departments of trade and industry, and science and technology, the Asian Institute of Management and members of the Association of the Filipino Franchisers Inc. (Affi).
