Scholars’ group hosts webinar on law and economy amid COVID-19
THE Foundation for Liberty and Prosperity Scholars’ Society (FLPSS) is hosting its first free virtual forum entitled “The Balance of Law and Economics in the time of COVID-19”. This event will be held this Saturday, November 21, 2020, from 2:00PM – 5:00PM.
The forum aims to provide an avenue to discuss the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic to the most vulnerable sectors of society, its legal implications, and the economic challenges brought by the public health crisis.
The speakers for the event are Atty. Rodel Taton, DCL, the dean of San Sebastian College–recoletos (SSC-R) College of Law; Dr. Bryan Albert Lim, an infectious disease specialist; and JC Punongbayan, a teaching fellow at the University of the Philippines Diliman School of Economics and a current PHD Candidate.
Retired Supreme Court Justice Gutierrez will also deliver her message in the same event. An open forum shall also be available during the event to facilitate further discussion.
