CEBU Pacific (CEB) said 95 percent of its flying pilots and cabin crew are now vaccinated, and is on track to completing its employee inoculation by October this year.

“We are always excited to share updates about our very own vaccination initiative because health and safety are on top of everyone’s minds now. It is our pleasure to keep doing what we can to ensure that our own people are protected, so our passengers will also be able to fly worryfree with us,” said Cebu Pacific Vice President for People Department Felix Lopez.

As of Monday, 93 percent of Cebu Pacific’s total workforce has been vaccinated for Covid-19 through Covid Protect, its own vaccination program.

The Covid Protect program is part of the Gokongwei Group’s initiative for all its business units. Through this, Cebu Pacific employees receive free inoculation for themselves and their dependents, as well as its thirdparty workers.

Lopez added that Cebu Pacific has also been actively coordinating with various local government units to boost the progress of vaccination for its workforce.

The airline is strengthening its Covid-19 protocols to ensure passenger safety amid the ongoing pandemic. earlier, officials of Cebu Pacific said the group is hoping that the industry will bounce back by 2022, as vaccination drives are currently being rolled out in many parts of the country.

It has achieved a 7-star safety rating from airlineratings.com for its Covid-19 compliance. It continues to implement a multi-layered approach to safety as it endeavors to restore the public’s trust in air travel.

CEB is also the official airline partner of the Ingat-angat, a private-sector led campaign that promotes safety measures and vaccination to help foster a nationwide economic recovery. To date, it has transported over 16.5 million vaccine doses from abroad to the Philippines, on top of over 8 million doses flown to 24 provinces across the country.

The airline operates the widest domestic network in the Philippines covering 31 destinations, on top of its 8 international destinations. Its 74-strong fleet, one of the youngest in the world, includes 2 dedicated ATR freighters and one A330 freighter.
