PLDT Home High Speed Hitters set goal high in PVL 2022 tilt

A STAUNCH supporter of sports, the country’s largest fully integrated telco PLDT has revamped its profession­al volleyball team as it prepares for the 2022 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season.

Under its new banner, the PLDT Home High Speed Hitters has welcomed a new roster of talented players who are ready to give their best during the tournament.

The team has also named George Pascua as its new head coach, bringing his experience as a multititle­d coach and his expertise as part of the women’s national team program.

“We are grateful for the service of our previous players and Coach Roger Gorayeb. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors,” said Jude Turcuato, First Vice President and Head of Sports at PLDT and Smart. “We are also looking forward to work with Coach George and our players.”

Fans will still get to witness the hardcourt action of PLDT veterans Rhea Dimaculang­an, Chin Basas, Eli Soyud and Iza Viray. Joining them are reigning PVL Best Libero Kath Arado, Jessey De Leon, Dell Palomata, Jovy Prado, Lhara Clavano, Wendy Semana, Fiola Ceballos, Mean Mendrez, Jules Samonte, Heather Guino-o and Mika Reyes.

“As a company who believes in the values that we learn from sports, the winning culture is something that we expect in any MVP team,” Turcuato said. “But we understand that it’s not always an easy feat, that is why we will continue to support our team and help them achieve their goals, one step at a time.”
