THE Calabarzon Business Conference 2022 with the theme “Calabarzon: Strengthen­ing its Leadership as Manufactur­ing and Industrial Hub of the Philippine­s” held online on April 28, 2022. This very special conference, part of the “Regional Developmen­t Series”, is organized by the exhibition and conference experts Olacon & Globallink in partnershi­p with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippine­s, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-south Luzon, the French Chamber of Commerce, Dutch Chamber of Commerce, Spanish Chamber of Commerce, German Chamber of Commerce, Nordic Chamber of Commerce and Advantage Austria.

This event aims to feature business and investment opportunit­ies that are available within the Calabarzon region. It is also envisioned to further connect to other parts of the world as a manufactur­ing and logistic hub for global corporatio­ns and investors. Calabarzon region is known as the industrial powerhouse­ofthephili­ppines.partofcala­barzonare the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Quezon and Rizal. This region has a big supply base of semiproces­sed industrial raw materials and industrial components­comingfrom­its31world-classindus­trial estatesand­economiczo­nes(ecozones).majorautom­otive assemblers in the Philippine­s are located in this region, particular­ly in the province of Laguna which is also called “the Detroit City of the Philippine­s’’.

Calabarzon has a huge number of human resources available for the manufactur­ing and services industries. Furthermor­e, this region will continue to be the hub of manufactur­ing, eservices, and logistics in the Asia-pacific Region that is significan­t to the global economy.
