BPI Head Office wins big at 2024 MUSE Design Awards

-

THE new head office of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), designed by Aedas Interiors Singapore, won the Platinum award in the Interior Design–office category at the 2024 MUSE Design Awards hosted by the International Awards Associate (IAA).

The MUSE Design Awards is an international design competition dedicated to recognizing excellent and original design work from across the globe. MUSE also serves as a key stage to unveil up-and-coming stars in Architecture, Interior, Product, Landscape, Lighting, Furniture and Fashion Design worldwide.

Located at the Ayala Triangle Gardens Tower 2 in Makati City, the new BPI head office provides a safe working environment that promotes productivity, innovation, and employee well-being.

“BPI and Aedas Singapore worked together to create an office space that enhances collaboration, stimulates creativity, and attracts and retains top talents in the country. The new office reflects the Bank’s commitment to supporting employee satisfaction and engagement,” said TG Limcaco, BPI President and CEO.

For this year, the IAA selected a jury panel consisting of esteemed professionals who come from prestigious organizations within the creative and design industries, including Fizza Shah, Executive Creative Director at Grey Pakistan; Alexandre de Mello Collares, Creative Art Director at Ogilvy Australia; Felipe Paganoti, Art Director at VMLY&R São Paulo; Augusto Correia, Creative Director at Saatchi & Saatchi MEA; and Tiago do Vale, Senior Architect at Tiago do Vale Architects, to name a few.

The MUSE Awards is known for utilizing industry-relevant standards in judging entries and maintaining impartiality through blind judging method. According to IAA, this approach evaluates entries independently, without comparing them to other submissions, ensuring that each winning work is recognized solely based on its own merits.

“I would like to thank the BPI and Aedas Singapore teams for their hard work, innovation, and creativity. This recognition will inspire the Bank to continuously provide a working space that encourages employees to do more to be able to serve more clients to the best of their abilities,” Limcaoco added.

Committed to providing the best workplace for its people, BPI transferred various head office units, formerly located in Ayala North Exchange, Insular Life, and Makati Stock Exchange, to the new head office in Ayala Triangle Gardens Tower 2 in mid-2023.

Earlier this year, the new BPI Head Office also received the Silver award for ‘Best Workplace Design’ at the 2023 Design Excellence Awards. Such recognitions further cement BPI’S position as an employer of choice among Philippine financial institutions.
