Church volunteers hold cleanup campaign
THE World Mission Society Church of God, through the “We Are One” Young Adult Workers Volunteer Group held its 4538th worldwide cleanup campaign in Sitio Panabang, Barangay Apas, Cebu City last February 11.
The clean up campaign is part of a series of events to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of Christ Ahn Sahnghong. Around 200 sacks of trash were collected by the around 200 volunteers.
The We Are One (WAO) World Mission Society Church of God Young Worker Corps. is an international service organization geared towards environmental protection and conservation.
Active members of WAO are young adult workers located in 7,000 churches in 175 countries.
Through its volunteer activities, the church received recognition worldwide, including from the United Nations, the Queen of England (Queen’s Award), the United States, and South Korea, among others.
