Church vol­un­teers hold cleanup cam­paign

THE World Mis­sion So­ci­ety Church of God, through the “We Are One” Young Adult Work­ers Vol­un­teer Group held its 4538th world­wide cleanup cam­paign in Si­tio Pan­a­bang, Barangay Apas, Cebu City last Fe­bru­ary 11.

The clean up cam­paign is part of a se­ries of events to com­mem­o­rate the 100th birth an­niver­sary of Christ Ahn Sah­nghong. Around 200 sacks of trash were col­lected by the around 200 vol­un­teers.

The We Are One (WAO) World Mis­sion So­ci­ety Church of God Young Worker Corps. is an in­ter­na­tional ser­vice or­ga­ni­za­tion geared to­wards en­vi­ron­men­tal pro­tec­tion and con­ser­va­tion.

Ac­tive mem­bers of WAO are young adult work­ers lo­cated in 7,000 churches in 175 coun­tries.

Through its vol­un­teer ac­tiv­i­ties, the church re­ceived recog­ni­tion world­wide, in­clud­ing from the United Na­tions, the Queen of Eng­land (Queen’s Award), the United States, and South Korea, among oth­ers.
