RULE TWIT­TER PHILIP­PINES' 2018 LIST

PROV­ING that Twit­ter is her realm, ac­tress-host Maine Men­doza has clinched Twit­ter Philip­pines’ most Tweeted about Filipino celebri­ties.

The 23-year-old star, who rose to fame in 2015 as the other half of the phe­nom­e­nal loveteam AlDub (with Alden Richards), has topped the list, which in­cludes (in or­der): May­may En­trata, Kisses Delavin, Alden Richards, Ed­ward Bar­ber, Donny Pangili­nan, Loisa An­dalio, Kathryn Bernardo, Maris Ra­cal, and Daniel Padilla.

Alden Richards and Maine Men­doza, col­lec­tively known to their fans as AlDub, have re­mained un­beat­able and are still the coun­try's top love team for 2018.

In 2017, AlDub also topped Twit­ter Philip­pines’ list. Richards and Men­doza, Gui­ness World Record ti­tle holder for most num­ber of tweets in one event, are co­hosts on the coun­try’s long­est run­ning noon­time show, “Eat Bu­laga!”

Fol­low­ing AlDub are May­may En­trata and Ed­ward Bar­ber, known to­gether as MayWard.

Com­plet­ing the top 10 list are Donny Pangili­nan and Kisses Delavin (DonKiss), En­rique Gil and Liza Sober­ano (LizQuen), Kisses Delavin and Tony La br us ca (Kis­sTon), McCoy de Leon and Elisse Jo­son (McLisse), Vi­voree Esclito and Charles Kieron (KierVi), James Reid and Na­dine Lus­tre (JaDine), Maris Ri­cal and Iñigo Pas­cual (MarNigo), and Joshua Gar­cia and Ju­lia Bar­retto (JoshLia).

ABS-CBN’s fan­tasy series “Ba­gani” topped the list for Most Tweeted Tele­serye.

“Ba­gani” is a 2018 series head­lined by Liza Sober­ano and En­rique Gil.

Other tele­vi­sion series which are part of the list are “Wild­flower,” “Play­house,” “Daddy’s Girl in the City,” “La Luna San­gre,” “Kam­bal Karibal,” “Contessa,” “Victor Mag­tang­gol,” “Sher­lock Jr.,” and “Ha­lik.”

For the movies, Star Cin­ema’s “The Hows Of Us” top­billed by Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla ranked first on Twit­ter Philip­pines.

Ac­cord­ing to Twit­ter Philip­pines, the movie “gained much con­ver­sa­tion on Twit­ter this year.”

Di­rected by ac­claimed film­maker, Cathy Gar­ci­aMolina, “The Hows Of Us” earned P600 mil­lion in the Philip­pines and was screened in many coun­tries.

Also in the top 10 list of most tweeted Filipino movies are “Miss Granny,” “Never Not Love You,” “My Fairy Tail Love Story,” “Da One That Ghost Away,” “Am­ne­sia Love,” “Hospi­cio,” “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes,” “First Love,” and “Ang Babaeng Al­ler­gic Sa Wifi.”

Twit­ter Philip­pines also an­nounced “Its Show­time” host and co­me­dian Vice Ganda as the Most Fol­lowed Filipino ac­count, with 11.5 mil­lion fol­low­ers on Twit­ter. He is fol­lowed by Anne Cur­tis, who has 10.7 mil­lion fol­low­ers.

Oth­ers who are part of the list An­gel Loc­sin, Kathryn Bernardo, Yeng Con­stantino, Daniel Padilla, Bianca Gon­za­les, Teen Quotes, Myx Philip­pines, and Vhong Navarro.

Prov­ing that Kpop is a big thing in the coun­try, the Bang­tan Boys or pop­u­larly known as BTS, ranks first in the most tweeted KPop ac­count.

“World-renowned group @BTS_twt is one of the most sought-af­ter K-pop groups to­day. Their #BTS hash­tag is the most Tweeted KPop hash­tag in the Philip­pines this year,” the post reads.
