Ka­puso Cam­pus Tour: The Re­gional Master­class Se­ries’ kicks off on Dec. 10

TRUE to its com­mit­ment to pro­vid­ing venues for new learn­ings and dis­course on var­i­ous is­sues, GMA Net­work —thru its re­gional arm GMA Re­gional TV—presents the "Ka­puso Cam­pus Tour: The Re­gional Master­class Se­ries’, which kicks off to­mor­row, Dec. 10, at the Claire Is­abel McGill Luce Au­di­to­rium of Sil­li­man Univer­sity in Du­maguete City.

The "Ka­puso Cam­pus Tour: The Re­gional Master­class Se­ries" is a part­ner­ship be­tween GMA Net­work and seven top uni­ver­si­ties in var­i­ous re­gions and aims to give stu­dents an op­por­tu­nity to

be­come part of rel­e­vant dis­cus­sions on lo­cal and na­tional is­sues, and get valu­able in­sights from a panel of ex­perts.

The first leg in Sil­li­man Univer­sity brings to­gether award-win­ning broad­cast jour­nal­ist Atom Araullo; GMA News’ Se­nior So­cial Me­dia Pro­ducer Au­drey Do­masian; GMA Net­work scholar and GMA Net­work Ex­cel­lence Award fi­nal­ist Eleazar Del Rosario; AFS In­ter­cul­tural Pro­grams Philip­pines Pres­i­dent Rahiema Guerra; and RTV’s Bal­i­tang Bis­dak an­chor Ce­cille Qui­bod-Cas­tro. They will talk about a wide-range of top­ics from “Mo­bile Jour­nal­ism,” “So­cial Re­spon­si­bil­ity,” "Aim­ing for Ex­cel­lence," "Im­por­tance of Com­mu­nity News," "Build­ing Global Com­mu­ni­ties," "Doc­u­men­tary

Mak­ing," "#PusuanAngTo­too Cam­paign," and to "Choos­ing The Next Lead­ers."

“We at GMA Re­gional TV are ex­cited to launch this project to­gether with GMA News On­line, GMA News and Pub­lic Af­fairs, GMA Ex­cel­lence Awards, and AFS In­ter­cul­tural Pro­grams Philip­pines,” shares GMA Re­gional TV Vice Pres­i­dent and Head Oliver Amoroso. “This is a ma­jor com­po­nent of the Net­work’s elec­tion ad­vo­cacy, “Pusuan ang To­too,” which is a call to stand for what is true; to fight against cor­rup­tion and dis­in­for­ma­tion, and to choose lead­ers who will truly serve the coun­try. Through this Master­class Se­ries, we hope that we can help our young vot­ing pop­u­la­tion make in­formed choices so that they may choose the best lead­ers for our coun­try,” he adds.

Last Oct. 19, GMA Net­work signed a Mem­o­ran­dum of Agree­ment (MOA) with the most re­spected names in me­dia, telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions, tech­nol­ogy, the academe, busi­ness, and pub­lic ser­vice to bring the most trusted and in-depth multi-platform cov­er­age of the 2019 Philip­pine mid-term elec­tions. Sil­li­man Univer­sity was one of the part­ners from the academe.
