Microsoft, Sprout empower Filipino SME

-

Tech giant Microsoft had recently partnered with Sprout Solutions in its quest to equip Filipino small and medium businesses with customized software solutions that aim to eliminate the need for manual timekeeping and payroll processing.

Using Microsoft’s cloud platform Azure, leading human resources (HR) management and payroll software provider Sprout Solutions scaled up its products to accommodate any business size across all industries.

The partnership allows small and medium enterprises (SME) to focus more on growing their business rather than doing menial, repetitive, timeconsuming tasks in the HR department.

The company offers cloud-based Sprout payroll, a software solution that focuses on end-to-end, real-time, automated timekeeping, which takes out the need to manually extract employee attendance information from spreadsheets and record employee attendance on paper.

SME can also avail of the Sprout HR, which provides a quick and easy-to-use online dashboard where business owners can manage employee attendance, file and resolve leave requests, and set employee access privileges.

“In the age of digital transformation, it is important to realize the need to invest in cloud technology to scale up not only our business but that of our customers and partners,” said Patrick Gentry, CEO and co-founder of Sprout Solutions. “We at Sprout are very excited about this partnership with Microsoft to promote digital transformation in the small businesses in this country that need it the most. We’re here to make a difference.”

There are currently over 500 start-up companies in the Philippines and more are expected to flourish in the coming years. Leaders see technology as one of the main areas to improve in their business to adapt to the global shift across all industries.

“This partnership is an important step for us towards reaching out and developing more future-ready businesses in the Philippines,” said Andres Ortola, general manager of Microsoft Philippines. “With Microsoft Azure, we aim to provide a reliable cloud platform that would deliver value to our customers and allow them to build transformative solutions for their business and partners.”

Sprout Solutions recently held its first SME Growth and Impact Summit, which was attended by over 150 Filipino startups, to discuss the thriving industry and its potential to grow exponentially in the coming years.

Sprout is keen on building a community among small and medium scale businesses and share their journey as a startup themselves, to attract more like-minded individuals in the industry.
