Now, the region’s residents and enterprises will have more access to the German engineering, build quality and driving experience of Volkswagen automobiles and the accompanying Volkswagen aftersales services and support

Volkswagen Philippines, in partnership with Lica Auto Group, officially opened its dealership along the busy automotive row of the Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road, making it the brand’s first-ever dealership in the area. This marks the brand’s fifth dealership outside of Metro Manila.

The said dealership is the brand’s eighth since it first officially started operations in 2013. Strategically located, the hub targets mainly the upwardly mobile markets of the CALABARZON area that covers the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon — a booming economic growth corridor populated by almost 10 million people in the vehicle-buying age of 20 years old and above.

It is categorized as a full dealership, spanning 620 sqm. in size, which includes a six-car display showroom, three service bays and two lifters.

“We see tremendous opportunities to grow our customer base here, while contributing our share to the region’s economic development. In collaboration with the Lica Auto Group, we are able to establish our presence at the soonest possible time in this very exciting market. Now, the region’s residents and enterprises will have more access to the German engineering, build quality and driving experience of Volkswagen automobiles and the accompanying Volkswagen aftersales services and support,” Felipe Estrella, the carmaker’s president, said during the program.

“More importantly, the new Volkswagen Santa Rosa dealership offers a greater opportunity for our customers in the region to discover or create their own wonderful motoring lifestyle stories in their very own Santana, Santana GTS, Lavida and Lamando and each of these stories will then add to the heritage and affinity of the brand with us Filipinos,” he added.

Meanwhile, Lica Auto Group president Felix Limcaoco III shared, “Our first Volkswagen dealer takes the Lica Auto Group to a position of dominance in the auto industry in the southern Luzon area. At the same time, Volkswagen Santa Rosa will be more accessible to buyers and owners in the region.”

The Lica Auto Group is a key enterprise of the Manila-based Lica Group that traces its roots in CALABARZON-based real estate, sugar plantations and banking. The Lica Group, which counts over 50 years of operations, is one of the leading diversified business groups in the Philippines. It now grows to a total of 46 full dealerships and 19 satellite showrooms.

“That’s why we know we are in good hands,” Estrella continued. Despite a gradual growth in the first half of the year, the carmaker remains bullish in H2 with more determined marketing and promotion strategies, among them, dealership expansions — starting with the Sta. Rosa dealership.
