Sought-after leading man Juancho Triviño is looking forward to start a new journey as a Kapuso as he renewed his exclusive contract with GMA Network last 8 August. He is grateful for the trust that the Network has been giving him for the past seven years.

“I’m very thankful that they gave me this opportunity. I’ve been with them since the very beginning of my career. There’s no place I’d rather be than GMA, it feels like home talaga. I couldn’t imagine being elsewhere,” he said.

Juancho recalled quite the journey he took to get to where he is right now — from modelling and venturing to being a host, to now top-billing GMA’s upcoming Afternoon Prime series Madrasta where he will be paired with Kapuso actresses Arra San Agustin and Thea Tolentino.

He shared, “I have a long way to go. Madrasta is just the start. Marami pa akong kailangang patunayan (I have many things to prove). More importantly, I need to portray my character well.”

Present during the signing were GMA senior vice president for Entertainment Group Lilybeth Rasonable; vice president for Drama Productions Redgie Magno; senior assistant vice president for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara; assistant vice president for Drama Cheryl Ching-Sy; senior program managers Ali Nokom Dedicatoria and Cathy Ochoa Perez, and Juancho’s co-manager Maristel Sampedro.

Rasonable said that GMA will continue to provide quality projects for Juancho. She also praised his growth and improvements in his craft: “We’re very glad that he feels that way kasi homegrown

‘yan eh. ‘Pag nakikita mo ‘yung isa mong anak kumbaga na nag-go-grow sa business na pinagtuunan mo ng pansin para humusay sa kaniyang craft at makita mong nagagamit nya ito in a good way para umangat siya sa kaniyang chosen field, it makes you proud.”
