Zamora enjoys council majority
The tide has turned in favor of San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora as six officials, including city council members and the heads of Liga ng mga Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan, have decided to leave the Ejercito-Estrada camp to join his administration.
Councilors Boyet Aquino, Raissa Laurel, Vincent Pacheco and Kit Peralta, together with Herbert Chua (ABC President) Ariel Atad (SK Federation President), now form the majority bloc with the three original PDP-Laban councilors: Paul Artadi, Totoy Bernardo and Bea de Guzman.
Vice Mayor Warren Villa, Zamora’s running mate in the last elections, is presiding officer of the city council.
Zamora said that with the development he does not see anyone having the power to hijack his programs.
All the 21 barangay chairpersons have also pledged their support for Mayor Zamora and his father Rep. Ronaldo Zamora.
