San Sebastian College gets back on winning track following a thrilling 102-101 overtime victory over Letran College in Season 95 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association men’s basketball tournament yesterday at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

RK Ilagan and Allyn Bulanadi delivered the goods, but had some scary moments down the stretch that extended the game to overtime.

Ilagan fired 22 points, seven assists and two rebounds while Bulanadi delivered 21 points for the Stags, who improved to 3-3 win-loss card.

“We stuck to our gameplan and the rookies stepped up. They were hungry for this win,” said San Sebastian assistant coach Carmelo Banua, who was stepping in for head coach Egay Macaraya who was slapped with a suspension for unsportsmanlike conduct.

“This win heightened the morale of our players because we fell short the past few games.”
