Students get discount at PPP fest

This year’s PPP, just the third time it is being held, features 10 Filipino movies from 13 to 19 September

The Film Developmen­t Council of the Philippine­s (FDCP) announced on Tuesday that it will be giving discounts to students interested in watching entries to the Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino 2019 next month.

In a Facebook post, FDCP said tickets for students in Metro Manila will be priced at just P180, while those in the provinces, it will be at P130.

Students need only to show their school ID or registrati­on form at the cinema ticket booth to get the discount.

This year’s PPP, just the third time it is being held, features 10 Filipino movies from 13 to 19 September.

The PPP is an official celebratio­n by the FDCP on the occasion of the centennial of Philippine cinema.

The first all-Filipino film, “Dalagang Bukid,” was screened on 12 September 1919. It was directed by Jose Nepomuceno.
