ATN supplying rock aggregates to MetroPac Tollways
ATN Holdings Inc. said on Wednesday it partnered with Pangilinan-led Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC) for the supply of rock aggregates for the latter’s expansion plans.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, ATN said it signed a memorandum of understanding with MPTC for the supply of 250,000 cubic meters of rock aggregates.
ATN said the supply will be used for the construction of ongoing and new projects such as the Harbour Link Project, CaviteLaguna Expressway, Light Rail Transit-1 Cavite Extension, North Luzon Expressway-South Luzon Expressway (NLEX-SLEX) Connector Road Project, and the NLEX Expansion Project.
At present, ATN said its existing crushing plant is able to produce 500 tons of rock aggregates per hour.
It is planning to expand its production through a new plant able to crush 800 tons per hour.
Meanwhile, the company last month announced that it teamed up with China Machinery Engineering Corp. and Broad Homes for the co-development, construction, and operations of a 60,000-cubic meter pre-cast concrete plant in ATN’s 256-hectare property, to produce 6,000 housing units per year.
ATN said the plan was part of the effort to address the 6 million housing backlog in the country.
The company said the entry-level plant is able to generate P18 billion in annual revenues.
