Mark’s current girlfriend is Kapuso newbie Nicole Donesa, his co-actor in previous Kapuso’s afternoon prime drama Bihag where their romance bloomed.
On his Facebook wall, Mark displayed his sweet moments with his girlfriend with caption, “To infinity and beyond.” Could she be the woman he wants to marry?
Mark has a love child with a non-showbiz lady.
Multi-awarded veteran actress Mona Lisa died in her sleep at age 97 last 25 August, Sunday.
The sad news was relayed to the entertainment press by Boots Anson, Mowelfund head.
Mona Lisa was one of the popular actresses in the 1930s and 1940s. Gloria Lerma Yatco in real life, her original screen name was Fleur de Lisa during World War I and II. She became controversial as the first actress who wore bathing suit on screen.
Before her retirement in 1952, she starred in Buhay Alamang directed by Eddie Romero. She returned to acting after 22 years in Joey Gosiengfiao’s film La Paloma in 1974 that starred Celia Rodriguez. It was, however, Lino Brocka’s masterpiece Insiang in 1976 starring Hilda Koronel that gave Mona Lisa best supporting actress awards from both Famas and Gawad Urian.
Her remarkable movies were in Mike de Leon’s Itim (1977), Brocka’s Kapit sa Patalim (1984) and Mother Ignacia in 2000, her last film. Mona Lisa’s life was immortalized in her book titled Mona Lisa: A Portrait (From The Memoirs of a Grandmother)
written and published by her granddaughter, Celine Beatrice Fabie and published by ABS-CBN Publishing.
The veteran actress’s remains lies at Loyola Memorial Chapels. Interment will be on 30 August.
