Motolite grounds Air Force

-

Motolite kept its hot run going as it grounded Air Force with its power and spunk to fashion out a 25-14, 25-18, 25-23 victory, its third straight in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference yesterday at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan.

Myla Pablo presided another charge with a 15-point outing that netted the Power Builders another straight-set triumph after dominating the Chef’s Classic Red Spikers and the BaliPure Water Defenders the last two weeks.

“The first and second sets were convincing but we started slow in the third,” said Motolite coach Godfrey Okumu, whose wards produced 41 attack points, 14 more than their rivals.

“Because of the way we started, we noticed as we continued playing, we struggled. We seemed to be making effort in things that we supposed to do effortlessly.”

Tots Carlos also stepped up big and backed Pablo with 14 hits, including eight attack points, three aces and three kill blocks while adding eight excellent receptions to spike another superb all-around game.
