Man nabbed for shabu
HE WAS VISITING JAILED PAL
A man who visited a pal detained at the custodial facility of Police Community Precinct (PCP) 2 of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD)-Masambong Police Station 2 is now also in jail after he was caught with a sachet of shabu during a routine inspection by the duty desk officer last Tuesday night.
P/Lt. Col. Rodrigo Soriano, Masambong Police Station commander, identified the suspect as Marbert de la Cruz alias “Inyong,” 24, a resident of Barangay San Antonio, San Francisco Del Monte (SFDM), Quezon City.
It was learned that prior to his arrest, De la Cruz visited his friend detained at PCP2 of PS2 located at Baler Street, Barangay Bungad
However, the duty desk officer noticed the suspect was acting suspiciously and subjected him to a pat-down search.
Seized from the suspect was one sachet of shabu and two aluminum foil strips with traces of shabu inside his sling bag.
Meanwhile, PS2 operatives arrested in a buy-bust Regie Riego, alias “Kuya,” 26, of Baranagy Damayan at about 10:10 p.m. 2 September in front of Roosevelt Avenue, Barangay Del Monte.
Seized from Riego were 11 sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P25,000, a digital weighing scale, a cellphone and the buy-bust money.
Riego is included in the Directorate for Intelligence drug watch list.
The suspects are charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while the confiscated illegal drugs were turned over to the crime laboratory.
