Johnnie Walker launches its Vintage Design Pack Collection

-

Johnnie Walker, a well-known Scotch whisky brand, has unveiled its Vintage Design Pack Collection, a special run of its Red, Black, Double Black and Gold Label Reserve variants. For the limited-edition collection, the blends come in a unique packaging design inspired by the 1920s, 1970s, 1990s and late 2010s, the brand’s nod to the many generations that have loved and enjoyed Johnnie Walker.

From its humble beginnings in a small grocer’s store in Scotland, to its ubiquitous status as leading Scotch whisky brand in the world today, Johnnie Walker continues to be a well-loved brand of every generation. Spanning decades of art, fashion and culture, the iconic Scotch

maker proves that it is a drink that never goes out of style, a feat it celebrates with the Vintage Design Pack Collection.

“Johnnie Walker has been doing a lot of progressive and modern things, the

#JohnnieWeekend Series, the Johnnie Walker House and the White Walker by Johnnie Walker bottle being just some of them,” shares Fatima Espineda, marketing manager for Culture and Advocacy of Diageo Philippines. “But despite all that, Johnnie Walker has never lost sight of its heritage, and that’s why we chose to celebrate it with the Vintage Design Pack Collection.”

The Johnnie Walker Red Label, aptly named the Pioneer Blend, takes its inspiration from the roaring 1920s, an era known for its prolific oil painting. Cued by an era of opulence and strong attention to detail, the packaging delivers a work of art where the Striding Man dons a flashy red coat with ornate gold outfit accents.

The 1970s was a huge era of change and newness, as more expressive and adventurous choices in fashion, movies, and music were introduced to the market. Johnnie Walker chooses to pay tribute to this special era with Johnnie Walker Black Label’s pop culture-inspired design. With its muted and subdued colors, one look at the box and our minds are taken back to the 1970s.

Meanwhile, Johnnie Walker Double Black stands in stark color contrast with the rest of the collection as it takes us back to the 1990s, the TV and VHS era and the climb towards the digital age. Showcasing modern technology in its earliest form, the Intense Blend’s package design features digital analog artifacts, reminding us of the beginnings of TV and computer use.

Symbolic of Johnnie Walker’s progressive spirit, the Scotch brand goes full circle with Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve’s minimalist look. Celebrating the present and the future, the 2019 packaging represents the modern aesthetic that is taking the world today.

The Johnnie Walker Vintage Design Pack Collection will be available until supplies last at P659, P1,399, P1,599 and P1,499 for Red, Black, Double Black and Gold Label Reserve, respectively, at all leading supermarkets nationwide.
