3 alleged carnappers, minor nabbed
Three suspected carnappers, including a minor, are now under the custody of Pasig police after they were arrested in a series of operations conducted by the anti-carnapping unit on Wednesday morning.
Pasig acting police chief Col. Moises Villaceran Jr. identified the arrested suspects as Arjun Valleser, 21; Bebet Santoy, 26; both residents of Barangay Bilibiran, Binangonan, Rizal; and a minor. The complainant was identified only as Gomer, a resident of Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.
Villaceran said Valleser and Santoy were arrested by a follow-up unit of Pasig police at around 11 a.m. Wednesday in Antipolo City.
Investigation showed that prior to the arrest of the suspects, the complainant found that his motorcycle was stolen while parked unattended at around 6 a.m. He immediately reported it to the ANCAR Unit of Pasig police.
At about 11 a.m., personnel from Barangay Bilibiran, Binangonan informed the complainant that his stolen motorcycle and the suspects were in the barangay’s custody.
Recovered from the suspects were a Yamaha Sniper 150 cc, black, model 2016.
Villaceran said the suspects were caught in the act by barangay tanod disassembling the bike for parts.
Another follow-up operation was conducted by personnel of Pasig police, which resulted to the arrest of the minor suspect at around 8:30 p.m. in Antipolo City.
All suspects are now detained at the Pasig City Police Station and a case for violation of the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016 will be filed against them before the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office.
