4 checkpoint cops caught drinking

Authorities from the Las Piñas City Police yesterday reported that four of its personnel were caught drinking alcohol while on duty in the city early Friday morning.

According to the Philippine National Police-Internal Affairs Service (PNP-IAS), the officers were identified as Patrolman Samuel Inoc and Police Corporal Alquin Orgen, Randy Danao and Robemar Abales.

The accosted policemen were assigned at Las Piñas Police Station 6.

In a statement, P/Brig. General Gerry Galvan, chief of the IAS in National Capital Region, recounted that the policemen were caught drinking alcohol at 1:35 a.m. while at the checkpoint along Zapote Road.

Galvan said the policemen were already disarmed and will be facing administrative charges.
