Road reblocking this weekend

The Department of Public Works and Highways is conducting road reblocking operations in major streets in Metro Manila until 5 a.m. on Monday, 9 September.

Affected southbound roads are: EDSA Bansalangi­n to North Avenue, U-turn slot (fifth lane from sidewalk); EDSA, from Eugenio Lopez — Timog MRT Station Lagarian Creek to Arayat, Cubao; EDSA, from Magallanes-Baclaran Bus Stop to Magallanes-Alabang Bus Stop (outer lane); C-5 Road near Market Market; Taguig City, fronting Palar Village, 254 meters before KM 17+000; and, Quezon City along EDSA Southbound between West Avenue and Philam Village.

Affected eastbound routes are: Quirino Highway, from Salvia Street to before Belfast Road (inner lane); and Elliptical Road, before Commonweal­th Avenue (third lane from outer sidewalk), while covered westbound route is Novaliches, from General Luis Oriental Tin to Rebisco.

Northbound directions covered are: A. Bonifacio Avenue near J. Pineda Street (first lane from sidewalk); Batasan/San Mateo Road, from Sapphire Drive to fronting Petron (second lane from center); EDSA, from Main Avenue to P. Tuazon (first lane from the sidewalk); and, Katipunan Avenue/C-5 after CP Garcia Street (truck lane).

The Metropolit­an Manila Developmen­t Authority advised vehicles to avoid the said areas and use alternate routes.
