RWM’s October Fiesta slated
As part of its 10th anniversary celebrations, Resorts World Manila (RWM) gives the annual beer fest in the country a different twist as it features over 30 craft beer brewers from the Philippine Craft Beer Community (PCBC) in its October Fiesta.
The revelry of ales will happen on 4 and 5 October from 4 p.m. to 12 midnight at the 2/F Retail Area of the Newport Mall.
Filipinos have observed the German tradition for years by celebrating food feasts, the best beers and music in various festivals all over the country as RWM continues its advocacy in championing Filipino producers by showcasing craft beer brands that are brewed locally and offer various flavors that go well with traditional pulutan.
“October Fiesta is a unique celebration wherein mouthwatering food, good music, and distinct craft beers take the main spotlight the way Filipinos usually celebrate parties,” said RWM Director for Corporate Communications Joee Guilas.
“This year, we’re fortunate to have the PCBC as our partners for October Fiesta to give our guests a taste of genuinely homebrewed, and homemade craft beer creations that each has their own distinct flavors,” he added.
The festivities also gives RWM the opportunity to raise awareness on the vibrant craft beer industry in the country by inviting entrepreneurs who wish to showcase their creativity and resourcefulness in producing original craft beers from sweet stouts to IPA.
In 2018, the local craft beer industry reached a whopping annual retail market value of $12.9 million, while there are 80 active brewers today from only two back in 2010, according to SEA Brew during its Annual Brewers’ Conference in Southeast Asia last year.
Door charges for October Fiesta are pegged at P1,000 inclusive of five RWM beer chows, three local craft beer servings, and one raffle coupon and for only P400, guests may enjoy two local craft beers samples, and one souvenir pilsner glass.
