been coordinating with other government agencies to help us in terms of custody. So, we have temporary areas where we put them while waiting for the implementation of their deportation,” the BI spokesperson said.

“It helps a lot that we have coordination with other government agencies,” she added.

Tentatively, over 300 illegal aliens under BI’s custody are set to be deported on Friday.

Just recently, a total of 542 aliens were arrested through the joint intelligence operations of the BI, the Philippine National Police-National Capital Region Police Office and the Armed Forces of the Philippines, in coordination with the Chinese Embassy. The arrested aliens, mostly male, were made up of 442 Chinese, 23 Vietnamese, 25 Malaysians, three Indonesians, 45 Burmese, and four Taiwanese.

They were arrested for working without permits and for being undocumented aliens.

Marikina City Mayor Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro promised justice for a 23-year-old construction worker who was allegedly shot dead by a policeman last week.

At the same time, the mayor ordered a thorough investigation on the death of Kim Lester Ramos, 23, who was shot and killed by Cpl. Herjonner Soller, member of the Marikina Police Intelligence Unit. The friend of Ramos, Lauro Lagarde, an administrative staff, was shot in the stomach during the alleged gun scuffle.

During his visit of Lagarde at the Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center (ARMMC) to get his side of the incident, Teodoro vowed to get to the bottom of the incident.

“We will make sure that he will get justice for his death. If it can be proven that there was some irregularity during the incident, we will make sure that someone will answer for it and there will be no cover up,” he declared.

He said he has already coordinated with the Commission of Human Rights (CHR) to investigate the incident.

The mayor has volunteered to shoulder all of Lagarde’s medical expenses.

However, the information given by Soller was bellied by Lagarde, saying there was no scuffle as the policeman abruptly pointed a gun at them.
