Remember the fictional character ‘The Grinch,’ who came from the popular children’s book How the Grinch Stole Christmas! who was also portrayed by Jim Carrey with the same title in a

movie adaptation? They are real. Yes, you’ve read it right. THEY ARE REAL.

The California police department revealed that it busted two “Grinches” who tried to steal Christmas from a foster family agency.

Maria Bennett, 40-year-old and Joseph Betancourt, 24-year-old, were arrested after a worker from Foster Family Agency noticed that someone had break-in to their charity house.

The staff didn’t waste time to report the incident to the police.

“A large quantity of playthings that were remaining held there for kids for Christmas gifts were stolen,” Red Bluff Police Department said in a news report.

After investigating the incident and reviewing the surveillance videos, the officers discovered and concluded who were the culprits who tried to steal the Christmas from the foster kids.

Bennett and Betancourt were caught in a surveillance camera going in and out from the foster kids’ building to the house next door. The two “Grinches” were charged with robbery, burglary and other violations according to Woodland Daily Democrat.

And for the foster kids, good news because all the toys and Christmas presents were recovered and taken back to them. Thanks to the CCTV’s, their Christmas will be merry.
