Avoid EDSA as SEAG closes

At least 114 buses and other types of vehicles with SEA Games delegates onboard will travel from different hotels around Metro Manila en route to New Clark Athletics Stadium after lunch time

The Metropolit­an Manila Developmen­t Authority (MMDA) is advising motorists to avoid EDSA and other major roads today as the closing ceremonies of the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games are expected to affect metro traffic.

The closing ceremony will be held at the New Clark Athletics Stadium in New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac at 5 p.m., but movements of athletes and officials are also expected in Metro Manila.

Clark Athletics Stadium after lunch time.

Convoys will use the yellow lanes, flyovers and tunnels/ underpasse­s along EDSA.

Motorists are advised to avoid the yellow lane and give way to the convoys.

Traffic personnel are also positioned in key areas in the metropolis to guide motorists and facilitate the movement of the convoys.

Since the SEA Games fired off on 30 November, stop-and-go traffic scheme has been implemente­d on EDSA, Roxas Boulevard, Quezon Avenue and other major

thoroughfa­res.
