Giving back to modern-day heroes

Medical frontliners get their work eased up with donations of essential appliances in their respective hospitals

Honoring the frontliners as modern-day heroes in time for Independence day celebration, SM Appliance Center together with its brand partners lent electric fans, mosquito zappers and washing machines to various Philippine hospitals.

To keep the medical staff and patients stay afloat despite the humid weather, Imarflex, Asahi and 3D brought high-quality fans. And to keep every hospital personnel free from insect bites and other diseases, environmentally mosquito zappers from Daimaru and insect killers from Imarflex and 3D brands were also distributed.

In keeping proper hygiene of hospital fabrics and bedsheets, SM Appliance

Center in cooperation with Whirlpool and Tyson Global Exchange rendered heavyduty washers to various hospitals.

These magnanimous acts to somehow ease the worries of Filipino patients and frontliners were received by high-risk hospitals such as Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital’s (Tala Hospital), Philippine General Hospital, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, Philippine Children’s Medical Center and Mary Chiles Hospital.

Rizal Medical Center, Las Piñas General Hospital, San Juan De Dios Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila, San Lazaro Hospital and Jose Reyes Medical Center also received generous donations.

In celebrating the birth of our nation’s freedom, let us not forget that all kinds of support must be given to our modern-day heroes who literally sacrifice their lives so others can live more.

THESE 3D Insect Killers received by the National Kidney and Transplant Institute from SM Appliance Center will help to alleviate their situation within their COVID-19 complex tents. It uses ultra-violet light tubes to effectively kill flying insects anytime and anywhere.

THE bayanihan spirit was alive and well when SM Appliance Center and Whirlpool donated washing machines to the Rizal Medical Center. These were delivered by MegaTransport Logistics Corporation.

NATIONAL Kidney and Transplant Institute received additional assistance from SM Appliance Center with innovative mosquito zappers from Daimaru Neutron Industries Inc.
