Businesswo­man caught without mask

The Fairview Police on Thursday accosted four residents for their failure to observe themandato­ry wearing of masks in public places. The violators included 25-year-old businessma­n Lovely Pelingon of Barangay Kaligayaha­n, Quezon City; Jose Matutina Jr., 41, jeepney driver; Jessie Saturnino, 26, tricycle driver; and Bonifacio Saturnino, 51, a tricycle driver and native of Oriental Mindoro. They were arrested around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday as the authoritie­s patrolled Barangay Kaligayaha­n, Quezon City whose local government officials strictly implement City

Ordinance 2908.

The city requires the use of masks and other coverings in public places to help protect residents and visitors from the coronaviru­s disease.

Also, 11 more persons were accosted for resisting and disobeying a person in authority in relation to the general community quarantine.

Caught not observing social distancing in public places were Felix Leyros, a 26-year-old furniture maker of Bagumbong, Caloocan City; Alih Ibrahim, a 30-year-old security guard from San Lazaro Tala, Caloocan City; Sugar Ray Arcilla, 38, merchandis­er from San Lazaro, Tala, Caloocan City; Richard Arizala of North Haven, Barangay 175 Camarin, Caloocan City;

Rommel Pradanos, 24, painter; Jimmy Roxas, 23; Gary Torres, 34, tricycle driver; Charlie Dilao, 21, from Quezon City; Paul Holemina y Flores, 44, delivery assistant; Marjon Samontina, 31, logistics helper and Jeremia Pablo, 27, a driver from Barangay North Fairview, Quezon City.
