TREASURE becomes best-selling rookie group
Days before its official debut on 7 August, TREASURE emerges as the best-selling rookie group of 2020. The 13-member group’s The First Step:
Chapter One debut album reached 150,000 preorder sales, surpassing CRAVITY’s Hideout: Remember Who We Are.
The group’s handler, YG Entertainment, immediately produced an additional 50,000 units after the album’s quick sellout.
In a Naver article, a YG representative shared, “At this point, TREASURE’s preorder sales reached a lot, aside from the local and domestic orders. This includes the orders coming from the United States and Southeast Asia.”
