Olongapo PNP seizes P1.5M drugs
SUBIC BAY Freeport — The Olongapo City Police Office (OCPO), with the coordination of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), conducted a drug-bust operation that seized P1.5-million worth of illegal drugs, apprehending a known drug peddler on Thursday.
According to operatives of Police Station 3-Drug Enforcement Unit, the suspect was identified as Oliver de Jesus y Taylar, a jobless resident of the town of Dinalupihan in Bataan. De Jesus is included in the Drug Watchlist of OCPO.
The suspect was apprehended in front of Royal Choices Duty Free inside the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. He was caught after selling illegal drugs to an undercover agent.
Confiscated from the suspect were: a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing 25 grams of shabu; 12 pieces of different sizes of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a total of 186 grams of shabu with a street value of P1,500,000 inside a cellphone box.
Charges for violating Section 5 in relation to Section 26B and Section 11 Article II of Republic Act 9165 will be filed against the suspect at the City Prosecutor’s Office in Olongapo City.
