Laughing it down
The group’s combination with Giselle Sanchez and Candy Pangilinan definitely screams ‘bonggacious’ entertainment that will surely take away your weekend blues
What do you get when you have the country’s veteran comedians and three of the funniest “beks” on the Internet in one show?
From Live, Love, Laugh’s BGC Laughdown, Candy Pangilinan and Giselle Sanchez together with Beks Batallion (Lassy, Chad Kinis and MC Muah) are back to bring laughter once more to the Filipino audience with new episodes of BGC News.
The comedy show, which will air every Saturday of August at 7 p.m. on VIVA’s Facebook page, pokes fun at the most viral news in the country today, mixed with hilarious puns that will make anyone laugh like they’ve never done before. “First time kong makakasama sa show si MC and Lassy. Yung combination natin ay… so sabi ko hindi basta dapat yung gagawin natin. Maganda yung idea na tayo magkakasama as a whole,” Candy Pangilinan said during a previous episode.
The show also shed light on matters Filipinos are most concerned about nowadays — the struggle of not getting interrupted when doing livestream events, dealing with slow Internet connection, observing personal hygiene and taking care of romantic relationships, with hilarious yet informative skits.
Lassy, MC Muah and Chad Kinis aka Beks Batallion, on the other hand, talked about the different types of friends — the OC one, sipsip (subservient), buraot (cheapskate) and bida bida (attention seeker) — that they have been missing and haven’t seen for several months because of the quarantine.
Beks Batallion, with its witty and funny antics, has more than 444,000 subscribers on YouTube. Its videos have been raking views from the audience. Its most watched was the “MC reverse prank on Lassy” vlog, garnering more than 696,000 views as of writing.
