“To our heroes, our frontliners, thank you for all that you do. I know these words will never be enough to repay you for all the days and nights of exhaustion you go through on a daily basis to fight this pandemic BUT please know we sincerely, appreciate and are grateful for you. May God continue to protect you.
“Our healthcare workers are sounding a distress call. We need a short breather, we are already exhausted.” - Dr. Jose Santiago, President, Philippine College of Physicians
“We will not be able to cope with this continued daily rise in COVID case. We don’t want to give up. We are just asking for a timeout of two weeks to control the spread of the infection.” - Dr. Marica Limpin, VP, Philippine Collge of Physicians
“Kami pong mga medical professional ay nagsa-suffer na rin po so much from the mental burden of this pandemic. We have been in this fight since March, and we feel we are nearing the end of our line.” - Dr.
Aileen Espina,
Philippine Society of Public Health Physicians
“Current measures are not working. We know it’s not working, kasi dinadagsa na tayo. Kaya kami ay nananawagan ng ECQ, partly because of its effect na mabawasan ang exposure, but mainly so we can sit down and talk with a sense of urgency. Kasi ang planning po natin walang sense of urgency.” - Dr. Antonio Dans, Philippine College of Physicians.
