AGIMAT STILL ENTHRALS
The Lebron x Titan “Agimat” collaboration is back — and it’s back with some fire. Fans were hot for the new Fiery Red kicks — a jump to the opposite end of the cool meter in the design’s usual navy blue colorway.
When it comes to the countries that LeBron James visited, the Philippines is arguably the most memorable one for him. Aside from having several LeBron-inspired basketball courts, LeBron’s love for the Philippines and his Pinoy fans has resulted in multiple special edition pairs paying homage to the country.
And his Pinoy fans would always go gaga and pile up the streets or even stay up late waiting for it’s release online.
Ahead of the 8 August release of the Lebron 17 Low Titan, let’s take a look back at the previous three collabs.
2018: Lebron Soldier 12 Agimat
A year later, Nike and Titan teamed up for a second collab in the form of the LeBron Soldier 12. This pair is similar to the LeBron 14 with its dominant navy blue color and gold accents. The sock liner’s unique graphic made its return to this pair as well.
2019: Lebron 16 Low Agimat
Things went up a notch with the LeBron 16 Low, as this marked Titan’s first official collaboration with Nike, evident in the presence of Titan’s Lightning Logo on the heel. The familiar dominant navy blue color and gold accents made its return on this pair. Unlike most LeBron 16 Lows, this one had a zip-up shroud on the upper that revealed additional details. Also unique to this pair were the embossed graphics on the upper.
2017: LeBron 14 Agimat
The first exclusive pair came in the form of the Lebron 14. The debut Philippine collab went for an all-navy blue color scheme with gold accents that gave reference to the Philippines and LeBron’s achievements. The sock liner had a unique design, too: the graphic was said to be inspired by one of the Philippines’ traditional woven fabrics.
2020: Lebron 17 Low Titan
The epitome of Pinoy Pride is the blazing all-red colorway of the Lebron 17, Titan’s second collaboration with Nike and technically their fourth collab overall. And as Titan celebrates its 10th year anniversary, a change has come. For the first time, Nike and Titan are switching up the color palette to a fiery red, while retaining the gold accents. Titan’s typeface logo appears on the insole, while the basketball sneaker boutique’s Lightning logo appears on the tongue of both left and right pairs. The Lebron 17 Low keeps the LeBron 16’s embossed upper with various graphics featuring references to the Philippines and LeBron’s achievements.
The Nike LeBron 17 Low ‘Titan’ is priced at P8,095 and is available in all Titan doors, the Titan App and Titan22.com. It will also be available at the Nike Park
