KATRINA HALILI in a mother role
The young Kapuso star also shared what she learned about being part of the episode as Teresa’s daughter
A mysterious illness afflicts the woman that actress Katrina Halili plays in the next fresh episode of Wish Ko Lang! airing this Saturday (8 August). The Kapuso actress brings to life the story of Teresa — a loving and hard-working mother. Joining her are Kim Rodriguez, Luis Hontiveros and Elijah Alejo.
Just like most mothers, nothing can stop Teresa when it comes to the welfare of her children. So, when her co-worker Cristel (Kim) picks on her 12-year-old daughter Marissa (Elijah), Teresa does not back down and defends the latter. Because of her assertiveness, Cristel is fired by their boss Lander (Luis).
Asked how working with Katrina was like, Luis admitted that he thought he would be intimidated.
But something happens to Teresa: At first, she only has difficulty breathing but later on her legs get swollen and her body bloats. Her family cannot help but wonder if Cristel has something to do with Teresa’s condition. People urge Teresa’s family to have her checked by a doctor. But because they have no money, Teresa is not brought to a real doctor. Now Teresa’s children are suffering, especially Marissa. They love their mother so much that Marissa and her siblings will do everything for their mother.
The Wish Ko Lang! episode also serves as the reunion for her and her Prima Donnas co-star Elijah.
The young Kapuso star also shared what she learned about being part of the episode as Teresa’s daughter. “Hindi po dapat magtanim ng sama ng loob kasi magagawa mo po yung mga bagay na hindi dapat gawin (Don’t bear grudges because you may end up doing what you are not supposed to).”
Meanwhile, the latest Wish Ko Lang! offering is the first project of Luis as Kapuso. The actor recently signed a contract with GMA Network.
“I am extremely humbled to be part of such a significant show. I am grateful that Wish
Ko Lang! was the first show to allow me to showcase my craft.”
Asked how working with Katrina was like, Luis admitted that he thought he would be intimidated. “Pero na-realize ko after ko siya maka-eksena na napakagaan n’ya katrabaho at very professional (I realized after doing scenes with her that she is very easy to work with and very professional).”
