Bulacan tops Central Luzon cases

Bulacan remained the province with the highest number of confirmed coronaviru­s disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Central Luzon.

Out of its 4,665 cases, Bulacan still has 239 under admission while 107 have died — also the highest among the seven Region III provinces — as of 20 September.

Pampanga follows with 1,982 cases, 518 in admission and 44 deaths; while Bataan has 1,870 cases, 412 in admission and 24 deaths.

Aurora, home of surfing destinatio­n Baler, only had one case who has since recovered.

Overall, Central Luzon has recorded 10,242 COVID-19 cases and 230 fatalities.

In Pampanga, the City of San Fernando has the most active cases at 108, followed by Guagua’s 90, Angeles City’s 83 and Mabalacat’s 78.

The province’s “Balik Pinas, Balik Pampanga” program, meanwhile, welcomed 37 returning overseas Filipinos over the weekend.

In Tarlac, strict border control is being implemente­d. To enter the province, one must present an identifica­tion card or certificat­e of employment, travel pass and/or travel authority from the place of origin, COVID-19 negative test result from an authorized testing laboratory and Health Declaratio­n Form to be downloaded from Tarlac’s official Facebook page.

Tarlac has 226 active cases, 16 deaths and 157 recoveries as of Monday.
