DSWD-EV distributes P293M
A total of P293,355,000 has been distributed to 58,671 waitlisted beneficiaries of the Social Amelioration Program as of Monday, the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Eastern Visayas (DSWD-EV) reported.

Angela Gopalan said the distribution will continue until all 81,003 on the waitlist from 129 local government units (LGU) in the six provinces of Region VIII are served.
“These are qualified poor families who did not receive the cash grant during the first tranche,” she said.
Each waitlisted beneficiary is entitled to an emergency subsidy of
P5,000 cash, given either through direct payout or digital payment.
As of 21 September, 29,526 waitlisted beneficiaries have been served in Leyte; 10,819 in Western Samar; 9,362 in Northern Samar; 3,829 in Eastern Samar; 3,703 in Southern Leyte; and 1,432 in Biliran.
Of the 58,671 families served, 10,224 were paid in cash while 48,447 got their assistance via digital means.
A total of 129 out of 143 LGU submitted a list of waitlisted beneficiaries.
