Narcos nabbed

Authorities seized more than P400,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Marikina City on Tuesday night.

Marikina police chief P/Col. Restituto Arcangel identified the suspect as Mellowie Buen, alias Bossing, 28, and newly identified as a high-value target.

The suspect was nabbed in an operation conducted by operatives of the Marikina City Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit along Gen. Ordoñez Street, Barangay Marikina Heights at around 10 p.m.

Seized were 17 plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 60 grams with an estimated street value of P408,000, a black sling bag, a 9mm pistol (Norinco), an empty magazine, four pieces of 9mm live ammunition, a Toyota Avanza, and the P500 buy-bust money.

The suspect is now detained at the Marikina City Police Station custodial facility while facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
