Bong Go assists Parañaque memorial park workers

-

Senator Christopher “Bong” Go sent aid to workers of the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque City on Saturday, 17 October.

Over 350 beneficiaries received meals, food packs, masks and face shields from Go’s outreach team.

Selected recipients also received either bicycles for commuting to work or tablets for their children to use in the Department of Education’s blended learning program.

“Tell your children that their education is their future. Kids, study well because that will make your parents happy. They did all they can to send you to school,” Go said.

Personnel from the Department of Social Welfare and Development gave away financial assistance and additional food packs, while representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry gave their commitment to provide livelihood kits upon completion of their assessment.

Go, who serves as chair of the Senate Committee on Health, reminded the public to strictly observe health and safety protocols and remain vigilant amid the ongoing health crisis.

The senator personally offered assistance to individuals requiring medical treatment, and encouraged them to avail of medical and financial aid from government at the nearest Malasakit Center.

Despite the pandemic, he continues to reach out and extend much-needed relief to Filipinos affected by disasters and other crises.

In Parañaque City alone, Go’s office distributed aid to residents of Barangay Merville, last 10 October. A total of 150 beneficiaries, who called on the senator’s help, were given meals, food packs and more. Selected students also received tablets from his team.

Last 14 August, he also extended emergency assistance to 100 families who lost their homes to fire that broke out in Lower Taiwan, Doña Soledad Extension, Barangay Don Bosco.
