Chevrolet Philippines, under The Covenant Car Company, Inc. arm just celebrated its 11th year in the country as it has been fervently championing the American brand in the local market since 2009.

But this is not the only thing the carmaker was raving about when they held an exclusive Zoom meet i ng wi t h select members of motoring journalists just the other day.

“Next ye a r we’ll be launching five new models,” the company’s president and CEO Atty. Albert Arcilla enthused.

“Chevrolet is a brand driven by great resolve and boundless optimism. While we continue to navigate through unprecedented market conditions, we are determined to strengthen our product portfolio and fuel the brand’s potential for renewed business growth in the local automotive scene,” he added.

“We are immensely grateful for the continued confidence of the Filipino market in Chevrolet. It is their love for Chevy that drives us to constantly find new ways to deliver innovative and committed customer service, and bring global and iconic Chevrolet nameplates to Philippine roads.”

One of the five models everyone is surely excited about is the eighth-generation Chevrolet Corvette. In fact, this stunner was named 2020’s Motor Trend Car of the Year and was also among Car and Driver’s 10Best. It also received other prestigious awards this year such as the North American Car of the Year and the Detroit Free Press Car of the Year. With its first badge introduced in 1953 in New York City, US, the Corvette is considered as the world’s longest-running continuously produced sports car. This C8 is the first mid-engine Corvette since then. It is powered by a 6.2L V8 engine which churns out 496hp and 637N-m of torque, while sprinting from 0 to 100kph in just 2.8 seconds.

Other than the Corvette, Chevrolet Philippines will also introduce the all-new Suburban and the Tahoe, while keeping mum with the other two. The Chevy Suburban is considered to be the longest-running nameplate in the automotive industry and is the first-ever vehicle to receive an Award of Excellence Star at Hollywood and Highland. This legendary full-size sport-ute gets a full redesign, bringing exclusive technologies and confident driving dynamics. Meanwhile, the Chevrolet Tahoe — being one of America’s beloved full-size sport utility vehicles — is a mix of functionality and versatility. This behemoth offers generous cabin, improved ride and handling, advanced technologies, and unparalleled driving experience.

23 strong

The brand in the country has grown to 23 strong dealerships — seven in the metro and 16 in the provinces.

The company is currently offering a promo of an all-in down payment for as low as P 38,000 or zero-percent interest plans for the Colorado, Trailblazer, Trax Premier, Spark, Sail and Malibu.

It also welcomes test drive requests and vehicle ownership inquiries through its website, www. chevrolet.com.ph.

Next month, the bowtie brand is launching the new Shop. Click Drive. Portal — which is designed to simplify the process of purchasing a vehicle right at the comfort of one’s home.
