Expect MG’s extraordinary 2021
It has been both fruitful and fulfilling
MG Philippines has already achieved a milestone growth since its debut exactly two years ago. Despite being a young company, it has already made a remarkable presence in the local scene with the strength of its value-for-money, attainable, British-bred product lineup, a rapidly expanding nationwide service-oriented dealership network and innovative aftersales services that reinforce the reliability of MG and its ownership experience.
Recently — in an exclusive online celebration — the company launched its official tagline and evergreen brand promise: “Expect Extraordinary.” It has developed a deep connection with its clientele and target market over the past two years, and is driven to continuously deliver on its brand promise — and this is something that both long-time and new clients of MG Philippines can count on.
For 2021, MG has a slew of exciting vehicles already in its pipeline including the much-anticipated robust and powerful RX8 SUV, along with a new sedan, MPV and another SUV. Likewise, it will introduce the electric vehicle ZS — giving Filipinos a glimpse of MG’s cutting-edge EV line.
So far, the carmaker achieved 2,854 unit sales from January to September 2020. Of this figure, 56 percent belongs to the versatile and stylish MG ZS crossover sport-ute — which has climbed to the top of the local five-seater SUV-B segment. Moreover, this bestseller has already eclipsed well over 5,000 units sold since the company opened shop in October 2018. Aside from the ZS, MG’s vehicle roster is comprised of the MG 5 sedan which is big in features and big in comfort, the powerful and stately RX5 SUV and the sporty and elegant MG 6 fastback sedan.
Growing network
MG Philippines’ second year is also marked by a pronounced growth in MG dealerships nationwide. Two years ago, MG started with 12 dealer partners. Today there are a total of 28 fully-operational MG dealerships across the country. The expanded dealership network ensures that MG sales and af tersales services are readily accessible in more places nationwide. Furthermore, the total number of MG dealerships is expected yet again to grow and will total 34 before this year ends.
“As we drive towards our second year of representing the brand MG in the Philippines, we would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to everyone on this journey of growth for MG Philippines. It has been both fruitful and fulfilling,” MG Philippines president and CEO Atty. Alberto B. Arcilla said.
“A t the onset of our appointment, it was our goal to introduce stylish, high valuefor-money, attainable vehicles to the local motoring public and we were fueled by the positive reception we have received from our principals, our dealer partners, esteemed motoring journalists, valued stakeholders and of course our increasing loyal clients.”
Buy MG online
MG Philippines has always understood the strength of online platforms and the importance of ramping up digital awareness for a more prominent online footprint. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and how businesses have pivoted to adopt an online-first approach, the carmaker this time takes a bold step into cyberspace by making its products available for reservations and purchase via an online selling platform.
BuyAnMG.com — now nearing its completion and launch — is its solution for customers who want to buy a brand new MG from the palm of their hands. Vehicle sales and reservations will be made available at BuyAnMG. com, which aims to replicate the experience of visiting an MG showroom. Digital 360- degree walkthroughs of each MG model will give customers a closer look at their preferred vehicles, and live video chat with accommodating sales consultants will give them the opportunity to discuss any product details, promo offers and aftersales services.
