Man arrested not remitting SSS payments

A 46- year- old trader was arrested for alleged non-remittance of the social security contributions of his workers.

Authorities served the warrant of arrest on Monday afternoon against Richard del Monte at his residence at Barangay Mayamot, Antipolo City.

Pasig police chief Col. Moises Villaceran Jr. said operatives of the Warrant and Subpoena Section of Pasig City Police Station conducted the manhunt operation against the accused.

The accused was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Maria Gilda Loja-Pangilinan of Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 230 for violation of Republic Act (RA) 1161 as amended by RA 8282, otherwise known as the Social Security Law of 1997.
