“Exercise makes me happy. Every day without miss, I run, walk or bike. Tennis used to be my sport but it takes time to gather a group. You can’t play tennis alone.
“Now, inside the village, I walk our four Labrador Retriever dogs or run several two-kilometer loops within Phase 8 — runner’s high of Maria Luisa — or bike around its hills. While biking with friends, we exchange stories and jokes. It’s the best combination to start the day: sweating and laughing.
“I prefer to work out early, from 6 to 8 a.m. You get a free dosage of Vitamin D from the sun and you start the day feeling energized. Also, during this pandemic, exercise is a natural immune booster.”
