Panelo: Public have choice on right quarantine facilities
You have the right to choose the kind of facilities you will be staying
Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Atty. Salvador Panelo on Saturday called on the public to report to concerned authorities if they are not satisfied with the services of quarantine facilities.
If you think the quarantine facility provides poor services, you can report it even it is being offered for free.
In his daily online program, “Counterpoint,” Panelo said that he particularly received complaint on the poor services of a quarantine facility in Tagaytay.
“I received a report about the complaint on the quarantine facility in Tagaytay where an individual was referred. If you think the quarantine facility provides poor services, you can report it even it is being offered for free,” he said.
Panelo added that it is the right of any individual to have decent facilities while undergoing the required 14-day quarantine.
“Even they assigned the place for your quarantine but you think, the area has poor services, you can report to us. You have the right to choose the kind of facilities you will be staying,” he said.
According to Panelo, the public can report to the Department of Health, the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the Department of National Defense and other concerned agencies.
