Superman as husband and dad in new series

In the new TV series Superman & Lois, married couple Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) return to Smallville to live as parents to two boys while maintaining their jobs as journalists.
Based on the classic DC Comics characters created in 1938 by writer Jerry Siegel and artist Joe Shuster, Superman & Lois — developed for CW Television Network by Todd Helbing and Greg Berlanti — will reportedly show a more human side of The Man of Steel.

Season 1 will likewise feature the couple’s reacquaintance with Clark’s first love, Lana Lang (Emmanuelle Chriqui), her husband Kyle Cushing (Erik Valdez) and their daughter Sarah (Inde Navarrette).
Also in the cast is Lois’ father, General Samuel Lane, who will ask Clark’s assistance to fight a villain.
The plot’s conflicts will include a mysterious stranger and impassioned self-made mogul Morgan Edge.

Superman will sport an updated, modified suit while retaining its classic style that hark back to the superhero’s red, blue and yellow outfit that fans grew up with.
Superman & Lois premieres on 24 February at 9 p.m., with new episodes every Wednesday at 9:50 p.m. on Warner TV. Superman & Lois: Legacy of Hope, a half-time special introducing the series, will air after the pilot episode.
