Covid-19 spike in Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela

Active Covid-19 cases in the cities of Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela have swelled to 602 as of Sunday, according to the Malabon City Health Department.

A total of 59 cases were added to those confirmed positive while four were reported to have recovered.

In total, there are now 6,637 positive cases in Malabon, 226 of which are active.

The new cases were recorded in Barangay Acacia 1, Catmon 9, Concepcion 3, Flores 1, Hulong Duhat 2, Longos 2, Maysilo 10, Niugan 2, San Agustin 1, Tanong 16, Tinajeros 6, and Tonsuya 6.

Only 11 were added to the number of those who have recovered. They are from Barangay Longos 5, Santulan 3, Tanong 1, and Tinajeros 2. In total, the city now has 6,161 recovered patients,

There was also change in the data of those who recovered in the barangays of Catmon, Concepcion, and Niugan after four of the patients who recovered tested positive for the second time.

So, from 429, only 428 were cured in Barangay Catmon, while from 286 only 285 in Barangay Concepcion and in Barangay Niugan 176 down to 174.

So far, 250 people have been reported dead due to the said virus.

On the same date, 191 active cases were filed in Navotas City after four more tested positive cases while seven have recovered.

Navotas now has 5,847 positive cases, of which 5,470 were cured and 186 have died.

Meanwhile, in its latest report, the City Epidemiolo­gy and Surveillan­ce Unit of Valenzuela City said that one patient died last Friday. The city now has 190 active cases after 12 tested positive on the same date.
