Former US presidential candidate and secretary-of-state Hillary Clinton admits fear of terrorism in her upcoming novel State of Terror. She collaborated with renowned thriller author Louise Penny.

The political thriller will come out on 12 October published by Simon & Schuster and St. Martin’s Press.

The project is a dream come true for the former stateswoman because of her admiration of the genre.

State of Terror is surmised as a reflection of Clinton’s experience when she was US secretary of state because the book’s protagonist is a novice secretary of state who works for a rival politician.

The political thriller will also encompass Clinton’s thoughts on the Trump administration.

In a statement issued by the authors to Hollywood Reporter, Penny said that writing State of Terror got her “inside the White House.” The novel also opened her mind to the complexities of terrorism which Clinton admits to being her “worst nightmare.”

Meanwhile, seemingly ecstatic Clinton expressed her happiness for the venture. She considers teaming up with Perry as a “dream come true.”

Her husband, former US President Bill Clinton, also co-wrote novels of the same genre. His recent projects with popular author James Patterson is The President is Missing.

Clinton and Patterson will also release

Daughter in June.
